PTC heaters for evaporators

AFS  is our range of heaters always available from  stock, that can be shipped within 3 working days from order receipt.
The heaters of HT SpA's PT EV Series are designed especially for the evaporation of water produced by the de-frost cycle in most Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration & Air Conditioning sectors, which apply the PTC (Positive Thermal Coefficient) technology. Their most frequent application is in refrigerated cabinets and counters, but the latest studies of our R&D Dept. led to the development of special state-of-the-art models designed as antifrost for external boilers.
The PTC provides a heating power that is functional to the temperature, thus giving maximum power at a lower temperature and reducing the power output as the temperature grows.
This system guarantees several advantages:
Safety: in the worst operating conditions – i.e. once the heater is working uncovered after the water in the tank has evaporated - the power absorbed by the PTC drops to almost nothing, thus avoiding the risk of damaging both the heater and the tank.
Costs Savings: using one of HT SpA's self-limiting PTC cartridge-type heaters the need for any further protection device  is eliminated. This of course not only saves the direct costs of the said protection device/s, but there are still further savings in the elimination of mounting supports and interconnecting wiring - not to mention the labour involved.
Energy Savings: in general this type of heater uses less energy than the conventional types – a factor now becoming more and more important even in industrial applications.
